yup, the local PPG jobber in my area wants nearly 200 a QUART for DBC base alone. it hurts to do any painting

Too bad you use PPG I have a damn near full pint of Dupont sitting here that's OB.

I forget if PPG or Dupont is on mine. I ended up paying 120 for enough paint and the best clear they had to do the whole front end of my car

That's not too bad at all. I had bought this to paint stuff for a friend's SRT and now it's just sitting here hanging out with me.
