Srt wing Bye bye????

Ok, So I really can't decide what I want to do with the wing...

IMO, it looks nice on the car, adds more appeal to the car.

The bad, Its kinda ricey. I can't color match it, because it'd look horrible, It obstructs my vision... Lets not forget thats its a ricer magnet.

The other option, molded lip spoiler.

I like the looks of it, equally with the srt spoiler...

Much cleaner, one of those mods that most people wouldn't notice (which I like)

Takes alot of work and manhours to do correctly.

There is no way this car will not have a spoiler on the trunk, it looks so bare without a spoiler, which is why I bought the srt one.

This isn't a thread where I'm asking which one YOU like better its a thread asking which one would be better suited for my car.

Some pictures.

The only pic I have of her wingless days.

I would go wingless or molded. I was never a fan of the srt wing, even on an srt

Build the car for YOU! What ever looks best to you, man. Me, I think the SRT wing looks like crap. Its way too tall IMO. But thats me. If you like it, run with it. F--k everybody else. Untill someone else helps pay for your ride, dont let them decide what to do with it. Did your friends tell you how to dress in high school? Does your girl pick out your air freshener? All I'm saying is just do you......

Black molded lip would look amazing. Or red maybe. Idk which. Would flow with the car better I think.

Must be a honda cuz I don't think they make 500 parts for the neon lol.

Honda + Srt Spoiler = ThE sHiT yO

Dude, you definately got to PM me and let me know how you got your SRT rims to look like that. :)

I am partial to not running the wing. It does indeed attract a ton of un-needed attention. Believe me, it all went away when I took it off.

I say go molded lip. :)

It took alot of work, just wait till you see them in a couple months..
They'll be the only clearcoated polished aluminum srt wheels....

Making a molded lip a different color that the trunk would look unprofessional, imo.. Since there aren't any lines.

Trust me, I am going to do what I want to do, just looking for opinions.

If I do get rid of the wing, it'll be off and the holes filled by wednesday..

I vote for getting an SXT spoiler!!! I think that is the best one. It looks just as clean as the molded lip but doesn't require the long hours of labor.

But there is no option for that one. :(

My old steel one is for sale. Want it? 200 bucks picked up. I'm in Mayfield Heights.

No labor needed anymore. CBD sells foberglass and CF versions pre-molded now. That's what I'm rockin'. I just shaved the 3rd brake light (only the lock tumbler hole comes shaved).

sxt or none. The black SRT wing looks out of place.

$200 picked up for that Wiggy????? Damn that's a steal! Hmmm, where am I at so far.... trunk $50, spoiler $160, fiberglass/bondoglass/filler $40+, and paint will prob cost me like $200 since I don't know anyone. And we don't even need to talk about how many hours I already have into it...

colormatched srt4 wing.

ugh, I can't decide...

The car is getting new paint in the spring so painting the car and leaving the wing black won't make sense to me.

I don't want the sxt spoiler because of the loss of view out the rear mirror,

The lip might still give me the inpression that the rear end is still to bare.

They all have their downsides, Im just trying to pick the ine with the least.

Fine as is. The first picture really sells me on it. However, the chrome headlights make me want to say molded would look better.

I vote leave it for now but get it painted with the rest of the car. It looks fine with your tail lights.

Personally I like the SRT spoiler, but again, that's me. I have seen the moulded lip, SRT, and SXT too. There is just an added asthetic to a neon with a spoiler of some kind. My thought is the SXT spoiler, or moulded lip. Big statement with SRT, but classy with the moulded lip. The decision is yours to make. Sometimes less is more.

I decided the wing will be coming off for a bit to see if I like it better. I eventaully will go molded lip, but I'm unsure of when that will happen this year.

I will be getting some rubber plugs or interior panel clips and paint them in school for the time being.

If you want unobstructed vision, then no wing/molded lip is the best. After that the hammerhead.
I absolutley hate the sxt wing, it is right in the line of vision. I test drove an '02, and I couldn't stand it for the 10 minutes I was in the car. One of the reasons I didn't buy it. I would have ripped it off before I got home.
The hammerhead is not too bad. And it doesn't draw too much attention.
