Nee headlight upgrade for 00-01

Got a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

Nee headlight upgrade for 00-01

Post by NeonOn19s » Tue Feb 02, 2010 7:21 pm

Well I took measurements tonight from my TYC's lights. What was your clearence once mounted to the lense???

I have attached pics of the 4.5" to the mount line and some shots outside. Let me know what you think.. If you think it will work then I will purchase a set.

So I'm trying to figure out if I want to rip apart a perfictly good set of TYC lights or not.

The $100 kits are without ballasts, the $150 kits include ballasts.

I'm working on it..

I'm tyring to get with the seller here in Houston. Since Paypal sucks a wide C**K, that I can't even get a living person to answer the damn phone.....

*edit*

I just got an email from the seller this morning and he is going to check his stock and see if he has the proper selection that I needed. So we will see if he has them in stock, then I should be heading there this weekend to get it.

THen I will have my MP projectors with HID kit up for sale. ( if it all works properly)

You'll need the ballasts, unless you're buying them from him.

Yeah that is what I'm thinking... My first HID kit was 6k and it as too blue...

On a side note, I talk to the seller and all he has left are teh 9006 in 6k's right now... :banghead:

He said that he need to check with his supplier to see when the next batch are going to be in... it could be up to 4 weeks......

I told him to see what his supplier had, and I will check back with him. I was looking forward to this weekend....

Buy the housings. And then buy a new hid kit here in the size you need and color you want for 50 bucks. Same amount of money. Will have them in a week instead of 4. They are a reliable company with many sales to me and my friends with no problems.

Thats where I got my hid kit from for the mpx projectors I have. Only complaint is the relay and fuse setup is huge. i love how the vvme batt wiring is concealed in one lillte block.

The point of this is he wants a retrofit not a plug and play HID kit that's going to throw light every which way except on the road.

This is a G1 Retrofit....that DDM kit cannot do this:

It looks like they might have the kit in next week time frame. He will know more on Monday when his shipment invoice arrives.

His price is damned good. I have what I believe are G2s here for this retro I'm doing for a friend....they're identical in size to the G1s, but look different.
