overspray remover?

the polished lips of my wheels have a little bit of clearcoat overspray on them...what could i use to get rid of that? just polishing them isnt working...

how harsh of a compound are you using, you might have to use really harsh stuff if it isnt comin off easy and work your way up through the stages, paint thinner works also but you gotta be careful with that, rub it on gently with not alot of pressure and put a glaze/sealer over top after all the overspray has been removed

i dont want to have to take the wheels off of my car to 'reclear' them so to speak...im sure the body shop has something i could use, but i hate to bother them, i 'bother' them enough as it is
i just figured while its sitting there waiting for parts, i could do all the detailing i never had time to do before

Could also try and claybar your wheels... that might help in getting it off.

I agree with Diablo....try a claybar. It took overspray off of my dad's friend's Jag and Vette when I detailed them. Dumb-ass was spray painting some part of a tractor in his car garage and got all over his 2001 Jaguar XJ8 and 2001 Corvette convert....DUH!!!!
