well i have an exhaust app this week, wed to be exact....

well as much as i like my duels i am thinking about changing it to a "hidden" exhaust dumping it behind the rear wheel....

but the crome oval tips that i have i have grown very fond of...

i would love to go side exit.... but i think i will do side exit down the road when i do a electric exhaust cut out... (if i go exhaust cut out even)

some things to keep in mind, the car has a good tone right now, i do not like the whole cop attention type exhaust.... i like quiet untill stepped on type exhaust... something that will not attract attention......

anyway....

here is a few pics of what the car looks like right now....

I like how it is if you could raise the tips up closer to the bumper.

We have some guys around me that have an electric dump right behind the cat and have the system the full exhaust system behind it. It keeps their dual tips fucking tip top clean if they run only the dump or if there are issues with police they can open and close it as they deem fit.

quick tip, when i needed to tuck my r/t exhaust tips closer to my bumper, all i had to do was buy 2 pipe clamps (the one the has the screw to tighten closed, the same type thats used on CAI's) and wrap em around the rubber hangers, and tighten to desired height..

yeah the problem is that if u look at the pic u can see that they are not perfectly "centered" on is out to the side furture than the other.... so that will be fixed... i wish i could afford an exectric cut out right now... but just no money for it... maybe later down the road... just not right now....

Side dump = badass.

I do like the dual exhaust, but being a 4banger I catch a lot of shit for mine.

I had considered putting a cut out in after the first bend at the rear of the midpipe, but IDK how it would affect ground clearance. That way all that would be needed was a short pipe to get it to the side. But, yeah, the extra $ for the cut out pretty much curbed those urges. I still haz the flanged Y pipe to weld in there tho...

But justifing the $ just to scare the shit out of ppl, is tough to do. There is nothing more gratifying, than seeing someone jump when it turns over, and fires off. Especially since my car barely cranks before it fires. Like my old '64 Polara. It was almost instant at firing. Dual side exits made for some startled ppl in parking lots. Silence to 110+db in .5 seconds

I took a crowbar and a sledge hammer and maneuvered the metal hangers on the body till my exhaust lined up center. They are "soft" that it didn't take much effort at all. You may even be able to raise the exhaust high through this manner as well.

I thought of doing that, but that's as far as it went. Decided against cutting a hole in the rear fascia.

Finding a nice shaped exhuast tip is the hardest part for me..

I have a spare 03 bumper and I can get another rear lip..

there will be NOOOOO fart can on my car!!! lol, i hate to say it but i drove it with one.... did not last 6 months...lol

side exit with just a resonator will be too loud for my liking, i was thinking about doing a cut out just for a "fun" factor..... problem with the side exhaust and rt sides is i think the exhaust would look to low on the car? almost hang??

anyone have pics of a car with side exit and rt sides????

The cut and weld method.... took it to the exhuast shop, we also lengthend the passanger side tip also, to keep them equal... so it is done and done right...

i am very happy with it.... 20 dollar fix...
