Ok guys my contact here

Paul @ http://www.eperformance.com.au/

He Found a source and can get the OEM retractable antenna...you have to buy the whole mechanism the mast and the base that goes in the fender...all up $100 Dollars...

I dont have the cash but when I do he will order it from Europe not sure where from though...

When I spoke to him yesterday he mentioned this site and how he saw my neon....and he has a blue neon 2000SE himself...! manual! He also came across a rolled SRT 4 in the states that he almost imported to do an engine swap into his neon...!

He seemed pretty cool and knows a bit about the neon...

So guys if your willing to spend the $$$ ....good luck!

4793961AD Antenna Assy. Complete, Collapsible, Export

4794192AD Antenna Assy. Complete, Collapsible - This is listed as a Chrysler part, but not export, so it might have been a Canadian thing.

But whether either are still available in the States is another thing.

The top number is prolly what ePerformance.com.au is selling.

Considering that our cars were badged as Chryslers in Canada (before 2003), you're probably right. Why do I always have to be broke? I really want one of these things! :banghead:

Nope. I went to my dealership today and Parts told me that these numbers have been superseded and you'll just get a fixed mast if you try to order. :cussing:

^^I emailed him and here is his response:
Paul Hockley wrote:Hi David,

The collapsible antenna that I quoted Alex on is an aftermarket part. I am not able to obtain a genuine Mopar one as they are obsolete.

The genuine Mopar part number is 4793962AC if you ever see one on ebay or at a swap meet.
Oh well. :banghead:

I'm disappointed about it being aftermarket after all. I really wanted to surprise everyone at Carlisle with a shiny new antennae.

Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but I have some new info on getting an OEM manual retractable antenna.

I was a moron and went into a car wash without retracting my antenna. Of course, it broke off...

I had no luck on eBay so I asked my local dealer if they had one and how much it goes for.

I was surprised to hear that they do and it's the complete assembly with mast and base. The price including tax is $96.95 (342.20 shekels).

I forgot to ask how many they have in stock, but I'll try to find out. If they have more than a couple, I'd be happy to pick one up and mail it to whoever wants one. Shipping to the US with a tracking number and delivery confirmation would probably be $8-12. Just send me a message or reply if you're interested.

I'm sure there are enough of you fanatics out there that feel that this would be the cherry on top of the whipped cream in terms of mods

I bought a Neon with broken aerial mast and replaced it to a flexible rubber one. Need to machine just two components (simple turning). If anybody is interested, I can explain and post drawings here.
