to do it.... easy...
to make both sides match... is tricky.. alot of sanding and dremeling, mine still arent "store bought factory machine made from a mold perfect" and it was my first time using glass, made each by hand.. but they came out fine..
personally i would just buy the ones listed above and take a chance..
by the time you buy all the materials, and a "good" respirator", also assuming u already have access to a dremel, diff grit sandpaper, bondo, paint, primer.
not to mention the time involved in doin them
you will spend more than the 40$ for the ebay ones, and his listing has a 14day return policy..

....... but then comes the pride of making your own, not to mention he could make the "S" more or less curvy, and really set his Neon apart, just my DIY'er .02,

tru.. and thats one of the reasons i made my own... this is how mine came out.. the flash shows the imperfections a bit i didnt get em smooth enough. i thought i did though. paint and clear brings it out.
i would redo em, but i used that red 3M auto tape, and umm... i cant get the lids off the lenses without ripping the lens off the car lol...
cant tell during the daytime so much though...

Yea those look good. sounds like a lot of work tho. I thought about vacuum forming but I'd have to make a new table. Ill prolly just end up ordering those and hoping they don't look dumb.

you can make a vaccuum forming table for less than $15, as long as you have a shop vac and a spare set of head lights, I think some one had a write up on here on how they did it that way.........., personally bondo glass DONE RIGHT, will look just as good if you know any body that has a can it wouldn't take much either...... just like a good paint job its 90% prep !!!

Yes that looks like the best way to do them to me.
I know i'm gonna get flamed for this but I had mine night-shadedon. BUT only because I wanted to see howd they look and because my lenses are cracked, scuffed, hazeed and whatever else bad that can happen to lenses. Im going to go to modern when I get some projector hl's.
