painting the Mopar body kit....
I'm lookin to get the Mopar body kit, but I don't want to pay to get it professionally painted. Do you think it would look alright if I got a few cans of that Mopar spray paint and painted the parts myself and got some good spray can clearcoat? Has anybody done something like this and had good results?

If you're already spending the 700-900 bucks for the kit to improve the looks of you car... save your money a little longer and have it professionally done to have it look even better. With a urethane kit you have to have a flex agent in the paint so it doesn't crack when the bumper bends and flexs.
Just save your money a little longer and have it done right.

Seriously...spend a little bit more and have it done right the first time. some might say you will be able to have it look pretty nice if you do it the spray can way, but im sorry, thats just ghetto and eventually the paint's gonna flake, chip easily or just plain look bad. cost you more money in the long run to cheap out now.....
do yourself a favor and have it professionally done, you dont want your car to just look 'okay' w/ a barely matching (in sheen or color) body kit...if it was me, id rather have it looking amazing and everything matching....trust me, i know about this matching issue, and no not w/ spray cans

Ok, the sides I can get from Mopar painted for $215, so that's not an issue....the front and rear are $325 primed and $493 painted. Now, could a body shop paint those two parts cheaper than $170? If so, then I'll get the primed ones and get them painted professionally.
