HELP! Have DRL problem!
Ok, so the girlfriends DRL (Daytime running lamps) don't work on her car. I replaced both DRL relays, swapped the MFS with 2 working ones and even went as far as swapping the gauge cluster out. These need to work before she can get it inspected. So, I've run out of options and am looking for immediate help on the best way to wire the fogs to an ignition source. What wire could I tap into on the MFS harness? I have the diagrams, but can't really seem to figure out what ones to splice into... any help? Also, is there a way that I can do this so they come on with the ignition, but if she flicks her high-beams they shut off... without ripping all the wiring apart to figure out why this doesn't work anymore? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

OK, a quick way to make them work, will require a relay, splicing into the ASD or fuel pump relay output, the DRL wire, and your high beam wire.
The relay coil will be powered from the fuel pump, or ASD output. It will ground to the high beam power wire, through the high beam filament to ground. (85 & 86) The DRL wire would need connected to the relay contact, (87) and the other side (30) will go to a fused 12 volt + source.
The DRL's will turn off when the high beams are on, because the power to the lights will take the ground away from the DRL relay coil. Thet will be on, as long as the ASD or fuel pump relays are energized.
This should get it through inspection, so you can find the problem without being rushed.
All of this can be done under the hood, so it will be less hassle than running wires through the firewall, and worrying about switches.
It is how I have my driving lights, except I grounded mine through the low beam filament, so they come on with the brights.
