home depo lip?

Post by Sxteve » Mon Apr 29, 2013 1:22 pm

Been looking into lips for my 04. I keep seeing "home depo" lip... I hope I'm mistaken in thinking people are putting garden edging on their bumper and calling it a lip kit LOL. There is but one advantage to a home depo lip. The only reason it peaks my curiosity is I can find out if my real lip kit I buy will rip off on some of the places I go.
So what is a home depo lip?

It is actually the stuff you put on the bottom of your garage door.
Drove my neon until it was killed in a flood.

You can also get both lawn edging and garagedoor rubberstrips at Menards if theres one by you. How ive installed them is you cut the length of your factory airdam or bumper, line it up and adjust how high/low you want it and screw it in. Or is screwing it in is not your thing, some strong doublesided tape will work too. IMO the lawnedging is superior because its cheaper, wider, stonger and lighter.

So many sarcastic, negative comments to say........................

It's garage door molding, or garden edge stuff. I prefer and once had the garage door molding. There's a soft foam one and a harder one at Home Depot, Lowes, etc. The hard one looks better and lasts longer.

I did a mix of double sided tape and self tapping screws. Still holds up for the 3rd owner of the car since me.

There's a really well done how to on srt forums. GOOGLE DAT ISH
