Rock Chips, touch up paint mistakes

These two kinda happened one after another. For some reason rock chips keep collecting on the front lip of the rear passenger side door right at the bottom (right between the front and rear passenger door. Does anybody else have this problem? But i keep touching it up everytime i notice a chip, but the paint is adding up, now i have a strip of touch up paint about 2 inches long and it goes about 1 cm out onto the body part of the door. I dont want the paint to add up and look shitty. Should i be repairing the chips or is it even worth it, i just dont want 1 chip to turn into a big ugly rust spot, but on the other hand i dont want 5 chips to turn into a big ugly touch up paint spot. First qustion is, is there an easier repair with less mess and it looks cleaner, second, how do i remove this touch up paint, or should i just leave it, it isnt very visible unless your me, cuz its basically at the bottom of the door where it kinda curls under.
