Neon antenna is a 10mm hex on the bottom of it. You can grab it with pliers or a wrench.

these antenna sucks !!!! my reception for radio went from 10 to 1... maybe 3 sometimes.. lots of static noise...

and i bought mine for Zapp Motor Sport..

anyone got fix for this ?

I have a theory that I need to prove...

Look around at cars. The antenna is the highest-reaching point of 99% of cars, right? My theory is that, because a car is made of metal, if your antenna sits significantly below your roof line, then your roof is accepting more of the radio frequency spectrum than your antenna! I have to do some research on it to see if it's actually the case.

Are people having trouble with the stubby antennas on stock radios or aftermarket? Or both?

I've got no change in quality going from stock to the stubby.
