I was wondering if there was some where you could buy a smoked third brake light or I thought about buying some of that spray tent and spraying my clear third brake light.Is that spray tent any good?
I also saw awhile back some made a LED third brake light,could some post again for so I can get good idea on how to do that.

I haven't seen any smoked third brake lights because I've been looking myself, but you could always get the clear one of eBay and get some Nightshades spray tint, like what you're talking about. The stuff works great and turns out really nice if you take your time - Just like a paint job. Thin even coats does the trick. Some even finish it off with some clear coat... But I'll let the others with experience chime in to help you out.

Its tint, not tent and you can buy it at a lot of auto parts stores. Good luck with your mod.

This is with like 7 to 8 coats of nightshades...not sure if light is visible w/ it, I never got the chance to test it out but I thought it looked nice. Ask dblsg about that one

I didnt clear it though, I didnt think It needed it.

Why can't you ship it? If it's because it's flammable, you can still ship it as long as it's not a certain weight... Which I think is something outrageous, I can't remember... If you still don't wanna' ship it, if you still have it when July rolls around, bring it to the meet and I'll buy it off you then.

Here is a pick of my butt with the third b-light smoked with stuff I got from Jeg's (it is called VHT) but it cost almost 20$ because of haz-shipping.

WELL, I WOULD FIRST STOP TYPING IN ALL CAPS, BECAUSE IT HURTS THE EYES, AND MAKES ME DIZZY!

I did 4 layers... so a clear light with 2 layers would look really cool, smoked not dark, but gets the point across... with the clear housing it should look 'smoked' as opposed to black like mine.

Yeah... That's my plan. I might even just do one coat, so they still look OEM but they're just a smoked color as well.

I got some of the spray tint through O'Reilly's. They won't show it in stock but can get it through their performance catalog. PN should be SP-999 or something like that.

hmmm Ill have to check into the weight thing next chance i get and ill let you know. I barely used any of it, Id just sell you both cans pretty cheap

sorry about the caps,i did not know averyone was so crazy about the having the caps on.i wont let it happen again.i think if that hurts your eyes you need to get them check out.

Our local Advanced Auto Parts store carries spray tint in stock, in the spray paint part,... so, you may check there (assuming that you have one) b4 you order out.
