Well, since my car is too low for a side-exit exhaust and I'm not going to do "dual exhaust" like everyone else under the sun, I was thinking of doing something a lil different...let me know what ya think? It's just a photochop...

the kaminari exhaust kit looks exactly like that...i think it sits a lot lower though because it's meant to fit into the kaminari rear which hangs extremely low, but i'm sure you could get an exhaust shop to shorten it and weld it up higher...
http://www.kaminari.com/products/neonexhaust.htm
actually, you'd probably be better off having something custom made, haha, that's just rediculous...$499.99 for a straight exhaust...plus it's not quite what you want...

I peronally like it, but then yet I wouldn't do it. For the simple fact that if you do it like that, then you will have to go back and redo your exhaust if you get a kit. So then to me it would be a waste of time and money considering money is always involed in custom work. Especially something like exhaust work.

That looks definitely different. I don't know if it fits the car or not.... but it looks clean. If you could actually get a finished product looking like that, I'd say go for it.
As for the design..... The kaminari exhaust would never work. The tips are 4" I do believe. A regular SRT exhaust comes over the trailing arm and curves right around perfectly to the middle. You could chop it off right there and extend the pipe out to the bumper.. Weld on tips an you are done.

Hmm the second tips look good, but what if it was one wide tip rather then two?

Ok, maybe thats a bad idea...

no deal on the one wide tip.... reminds me too much of a boxter and like it's gonna throw a turd at you being that the Neon does say 'HI' and have a smiling face. I like to dual Crossfire tips though for some reason... doesn't really look too bad but actually doing it... I dunno

I like the duals man. Very clean looking, like on the mini coopers.
I am still considering doing that to mine(have been for the last 2 years).
It wouldn't be hard at all to fab up one. All you need is a 90 degree pipe coming from where the midsection meets the rear section, to a straight pipe, to another 90 degree, then to dual spliter pipe. You could just clamp it all together first to see how like it, then get it welded after. I've priced it out before for parts and would cost about CA$150.

Yeah, since I'm getting that SRT exhaust, I could just get rid of the "Y" part and just weld in a straight piece of pipe and throw the tips on...

I think I might go to the local Dodge dealership and see how much the muffler is...or if I can just get the tips themselves. I really wanna do this!

'Totally worth it?' Or 'fuck that shit?' - I think that'd be a huge waste of money.
