Help with Performance and Battery Issues on My Motorola 2nd Gen

Hello Everyone,

After using my Motorola 2nd generation phone for some time, I've noticed a noticeable decrease in both battery life and performance. I'm hoping that some of you have ideas or comparable experiences that could help me make things better.

First of all, the phone is now noticeably slower, particularly when browsing or switching between apps. I frequently experience lag when attempting to multitask, and apps frequently take longer to load. Closing unused apps and cleaning the cache have already been tried, but the performance hasn't significantly improved.

Second, I've observed a decline in battery life. Compared to when I first received the phone, the battery drains considerably more quickly now. It occasionally only lasts a few hours before needing to be recharged, even with little use. I looked at battery usage in the settings and found that the system and screen apps use the most power, but I'm not sure how to make things more efficient.

Has anyone else encountered comparable problems? What actions can I take to try to extend the battery life and speed? Do I need to check any particular apps or settings, or should I think about doing a factory reset? Any advice on how to restore my Motorola's previous speed and durability is welcome.

In order to improve performance, I'm also wondering if anyone has successfully flashed their device to a custom ROM. I'd be very grateful for any recommendations!
