Kicked Out!

Post by Canada » Mon Feb 25, 2008 9:11 pm

Anyone else getting kicked out everytime they come on!??

Its pissing me off, cause I lose all my topics that are new.

Cleared my cookies, checked the box, everything I can think of.

Grrrr. :cussing:

It seems to be happening a lot more lately. Maybe it's time to upgrade hosting plans or go with a new provider

I will run Vista when hell freezes over. I would rather get a Mac. I am running a fully updated Norton currently.

Not that either matters, as I have been running those since I joined in like '05?

Yeah the OS won't matter. I run vista and it still will happen every so often.

it only happens to me on the iPhone, when I try to scroll too quickly in pic-heavy threads where the pics are still loading. It actually shuts down safari, the web browser application, then when I get back on, like Canada, all new posts have gone poof, no more blue. Very annoying. Also, the index page has been loading slower and slower lately.

it mostly is happening because of corrupted cookies ... either from the cache being full .. or it not saving the cookie file correctly ...

It could also be the case if your IP address with your ISP is being renewed causing you to have to get a new session ID with the forum thus making everything look read. It's happened to me in the past but I haven't had it happen lately :-?

The index page running slow... I'm trying to talk to the host about it but they're insisting that it's a problem with my connection when it's running slow. However, why is it only the index that runs slow and not the other parts of the forum such as the topics, garage, ect... I ask them that and it's like they ignore my question.

When you notice the index is running slow, please perform a tracert and PM it to me along with the time you are noticing it. Maybe if I get enough they will start listening to me.

If you let it sit too long you will time out as your session expired and you will lose it.

it happens to me at work a lot.. but in all fairness i'm jacking someones wifi so the signal may not always be the greatest.. BUT no other sites give me problems at the same time either.. so..

it will start "connecting to forum.2gn.org" and just basically time out, then ill reload and it will come up but my "hit" was recorded on the forum and theres no new posts

I haven't had any problems since I joined, other than a little lag when at work (not a huge amount of bandwith availible here). Other than that, no problems :-k
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...
