I have certainly never done anything like that, Ryan. As we all know, I know everything and have done everything there is to do in a Neon, so my word is law around here.

sidepipe87 wrote:Agreed, But I'm also 99% sure you too have given advice before when you weren't an expert on that matter. I'm not saying that when people REALLY have no fucking clue it doesn't piss me off... it does. a lot, just saying we're all guilty to a degree.
No doubt, I'm guilty of that a few times on here (remembers the valve cover fitment thread) but I think the point of this thread, as Sean has pointed out, is more focused on the sheer stupidity and ignorance of some of our members (whether new or old).

I would love to see at least a captcha-esque tool used, where you'd have to at least be able to write out a simple paragraph with proper grammar and spelling, before you can use the forum; almost on the same point as forcing users to read and scroll down through the rules before being able to access the forums.

Alas, it is but a pipe-dream, since intelligence is essentially a freedom that some people do not wish to use.

We could implement a test on the rules of the forum before membership is approved?

YES!!!

There is a difference between stupid questions and stupid people.. Stupid people will make stupid comments no matter what the topic is.. Stupid questions get answered and people learn from it.

Haha, make each new applicant prepare a written 3 page summation on why they would make a good 2gn member.
