For sure. We’re getting old... not many stay up that late or get up that early anymore. Lol

LOL, it has gotten pretty quiet the past few years in the parking lot. Some of us used to just let go at night with our 2GN family and not have a care in the world because this is the only time of the year where members can spend time with each other and relax. Granted the staying up till 3am and heading to the fairgrounds at 6-7am stopped pretty quick...LOL

I don't think I've ever made it that late. Between driving most of the day Thursday, then walking around in the heat Friday and Saturday, I'm usually no good for much later than midnight. Especially the last few years where I've tried to hit the swap meet really early Friday morning.

I've got two words for this year: GO KARTS. That clover-leaf track was crazy fun!

I know right!
And I noticed more members showing up this year at the Go-Kart track, the past couple years the Tuesday night crew went there...LOL
And apparently my oldest really ticked off one of our SCCA members because of the way he was racing at the track.....
The clover leaf was great, the dust kicked up by us sucked though because it got right into our eyes. But the clover leaf track gave even the best drivers a challenge trying to keep up with all the turns.

I agree with time flying by.

It would be amazing if we all lived in an area where the weather was beautiful was 24/7/365 so we could actually get things done, instead of having to hibernate from all this DAMN snow!

The sad part about time flying by, we always state every year lets plan a head and nothing ever happens...LOL
This time last year I booked my motel room with my tax return, this time the tax return ran out faster than expected and I have not booked the room yet let alone register for the VIP parking called the snowfield lol

WTF.......
It's been forever since you've been to Carlisle!
You missed "Joe" being asked by Carlisle to give thrill rides around the road course because one of the major sponsor cars died...
You missed the group meet at the gokart track....
you missed so much in the past few years.... :(

I know. I had really meant to make it this year but, with our perpetual shortage of personnel at work and my lack of funds, I think that it's safe to call it now. We've been under a hiring freeze and were already short of employees in my department before the most recent three medical LOA's (one was hit by a car- as a pedestrian- and probably won't be returning; the second had pneumonia which led to a collapsed lung and a hole in that lung resulting from the flu and the third went in this week for heart valve surgery due to complications from the flu).

Damn, I'd be worried for my own health sticking around there!

Sadly there are a lot of employers that don't do anything to make your life at work even remotely enjoyable, or any incentive to really give a shit. Mine is one of them. They have been taking away every little perk we used to have, and keep adding stupid rules. It's like working at the White House...

There have been a lot of good people leaving as a result, and for some reason they can't get any new hires to stick around after a few days to a few weeks. Once they figure out they won't be able to get health insurance for 6 months then can't afford it for 1 year, due to having to pay 70% of the premium, and not get any real vacation time for almost 2 years, they are GONE.

So basically n my job situation, it isn't so much they won't hire anyone, it's more they make it so rough no one wants to stay.

I'll be surprised if they are still in business in 3 to 5 years. MAGA!

My down co-workers' conditions weren't caused by my employer nor by working for my employer. In fact, my employer offered no-cost vouchers for flu shots (every year, in fact) but the majority of my co-workers passed on this free benefit.

My company has benefited from how our President is conducting business. We received bonus checks in addition to our regular pay yesterday resulting from our employer's passing on to us Mr. Trump's business tax cut. In fact, I started a new savings account with my bonus pay so MAGA indeed![/off-topic]
