Re: Carlisle 2021
I telephoned Lisa at the Carlisle Events Customer Service counter today and she told me that, even though I had registered with "Neon Enthusiasts" as my club on Black Friday, my affiliation now shows 2gn. That's a relief! I wonder if we have enough people registered to qualify for a tent?

Re: Carlisle 2021
I sure hope that we get a tent... I sold my (unused and unopened) Coleman canopy on eBay a few months back so I don't have a personal shelter.
I've been refining all of my maps on Streets & Trips. Yes, everyone has GPS on his smart phone these days but I prefer good old-fashioned maps (that and I don't have a smart phone). The really bad thing about Streets & Trips is that Microsoft stopped supporting it several years ago so the information is very outdated. I've had to do a lot of "work-arounds" due to things not being up-to-date.

Re: Carlisle 2021
Well, I'm going to have to miss this year as well. Wednesday morning, I went to move the company car so that I could back the SRT out of the garage and the Nissan gave me an error message about the AWD. The fleet company told me to take it to a Nissan dealership and, as of their closing Wednesday afternoon, we were still waiting for a tech to take a look at it. Since I'm responsible for the vehicle, I have to stick around to pick it up or get a rental to take back to work with me next Wednesday. Needless to say, I'm very unhappy at this point as I had been planning the trip to Carlisle for almost a year.
I'm also going to have to visit an urgent care clinic as my left foot has been swollen for a few weeks now and I have several tender spots on my left leg (like bruises but without marks) so this needs to be diagnosed. Maybe a blessing that I won't be away from home if this turns out to be something serious. I'm hoping that it isn't blood clots or blockages but I have had chest pains a few times in the last month and have been putting off getting medical attention since I didn't want to miss Carlisle.
I did get the car detailed with Zaino this past weekend in preparation for Carlisle- oh well. Everyone, please have a good time and I'll try to make it next year.

Re: Carlisle 2021
Carlisle isn't worth that much. Your health/leg is more important.
It sucks trying to drive a neon with one leg.

Re: Carlisle 2021
Thanks OD, I appreciate that. Went to immediate care this morning and x-rays were taken of my left ankle but we still aren't sure of what is going on. Ibuprofen, leg elevation, ice packs and compression socks going forward.
The Nissan dealership just got to the company car this morning and it needs a new differential. I was told that it might be a week before I get it back. Funny- it sat from 10:30 p.m. last Friday night until 10:00 a.m. this past Wednesday and decided that it needed a differential during this time period. Go figure.
Anyway, I hope that everyone there at Carlisle is enjoying the weekend... Wish that I were there.

Sad to see you didn't make it gramps. But health is more important.
I can't imagine trying to drive a neon with 1 good leg let alone the long trip to carlisle.
See you next year I hope.

Man, I hope that I can go next year. Missing the last two years has been a real downer.
