lol but my girlfriend does... I frequent a few forums for my car and their more than helpful so i figured i'd join one for my girlfriends car. Its a 2000. Havent looked under the hood in a while so i forget which motor she has (im at school 2 hours away from home so I dont usually do the work on her car). But i do all the work on my car, and plan on helping her fix up her car a little this summer. It definitaly needs a tune up, we have no records from previous owners. (Her dad bought her the car from some used car lot where he knew the guy). I make sure that she has regular oil changes done, and records them.
Im thinking this summer we'll do
Sparkplugs/wires
pvc
fuel filter
airfilter i recently changed
She also needs a new muffler, and since she cant afford a full catback i'll most likely just weld up a muffler to the stock piping. (She also isnt too concerned about performance, so this will suffice.).
Give me some time to search around the boards, so I can get used to what the common problems are with these cars, and also the little tips and tricks that tend to float around message boards that are vehicle specific.

Haha no thanks, I'll stick with my ride. I was impressed with her neon though, for a 4banger it holds its own, and the handling was pretty good as well. Seems like dodge did a good job on this car.

welcoem to the site, and your girlfriend has a 2.0 SOHC, all neons from 2000+ have a 2.0 SOHC unless it's an SRT. enjoy your stay and keep us updated as you mod the girly's car, we love pics BTW, even of non Neons.

Welcome, also from a newbie. I'd have too say that the 2000 was a great year, but I'm just a little bias.

Anyway enjoy!

Right now I have intake, 3"hiflow cat and 3" piping back to a flowmaster 80 series muffler, and kyb agx adjustable shocks with eibach prokit springs. I wanna get some more appearance stuff done now with wheels being first on the list. After that i'll probably do some engine internals.
