I'm back bitches!!!

After only 4 months, i could no longer resist going back to what i had enjoyed in the past... The power, the style, the handling of a SRT brand car. 2 weeks ago, out of curiosity, i looked around at different cars. I pulled up info on the SRT8 Charger and 300C, I even started to look into SRT10 Ram trucks, I was only really willing to spend about $30k for a car/truck. After thinking about it for a while, i would want to keep my car garage kept, so the truck was taken off the list. I could not find a SRT8 for less then $33k even when doing thru some of my "hook-ups" at different dealerships. During one of my searches, a SRT6 Chrysler Crossfire was included in the search.

After a couple of emails to the dealership i learned more and more about this particular car. The Chrysler Crossfire SRT6 comes in at $45,000 new, this 2005 model was priced at $24,900 w/5,000 miles. I then called the dealership which was in Akron Ohio, we finally were able to work out a deal. I they agreed to pay $15,000 for my 2007 Scion tC, which i owed only $2,500 on. I guess i could of gotten more if i sold it on my own, but oh well.

So friday, A buddy of mine and I drove out to Akron OH from Chicago, I went in, took a test drive in the SRT6, which i scared the hell out of the sales man as i riped on it down a small road behind the dealership and then on to the highway. I heard that another sales man test drove my tC to make sure everything was working right, and he beat the hell out of it, it was as if he didn't know how to drive stick. I came back to the dealership, and about 30 minutes later i was out the door with my 2005 SRT6

Here is a pic with the new SRT in the background...

There isn't much of a negative that i can say about the tC... for me, it was a great point A to point B car, with great comfort and great styling... but it lacked the power that i was use too. Now i'm back with a 2005 SRT6, 330whp/310 ft tq.

It is refined power... Turning on the car, it unleashes a low tone burble from the center exhaust, when you rev the engine, you can feel the body of the car move under the torque of the car. Driving it, its a perfect blend of luxury and power, you can feel how the car is truely a Mercedes Benz in a Crossfire suit... If i brake boost the car just a touch off the line, it takes off like a rocket, i can see how this car runs 1.7-1.9 60 foots on stock tires at the track. The suspension is a tad stiff, but clearly tuned for a sporty feel. There are so many different gagets with in the car, it tells you if its low on oil, but not just that its low, but by exactly how much. It will calculate when you need a oil change depending on the driving style that you have. The radio can find stations according to station style, signal strength, most popular.

I found the original bill of sales from Germany to Chrysler, this car priced out to a price of $44,800.

I took it out today and just drove around downtown and on lake shore drive... I thru it into auto-stick and shifted just before red line every time, it took off like a rocket up a on ramp... hitting almost 90mph at the end of the ramp, then i just thru it into full auto, and cruised around.

Most people don't realize how much fun the autostick can be until they've put it through it's paces.

Recap time!

I had a SRT4 that was pretty well modded
Image

I kept that for a while, and enjoyed the hell out of it.

I thought that i wanted to get out of the modding game, so i traded the car in... I wanted to get something that would get me from point A to point B reliably and that wouldn't cost much. It would be a transition car til i could pick up a SRT Challenger or the EvoX.

So i picked up a 07 Scion tC. I picked it up Nov, and by March i was already tired of it being so slow. Here is a pic of it already back on the car lot as i traded it in....

Image

Off in the back ground you can kinda see the car that i was getting...

05' Crossfire SRT6.
Image

I loved that car... it was style, power, and handling. It ran 13.0 at the track being 100% bone stock. The only down fall was the lack of room. A true 2 seater. So as much as it pained me, i traded in for a beast of a car.

'05 Pontiac 6.0 GTO
Image

The GTO was a beast to drive... powerful, loud, V8 power.... But it simply wasn't refined... I loved the feeling i got in the SRT6, it was a luxury car, refined, sporty, eye catching. I needed to find something that gave me that, plus had at least seats in the back.

Searching online, i came across the '05 Inifiniti G35
Image
I have had it for couple of weeks now, i haven't even had the chance to clean it and go out to take real pics of it, but i do like it a lot. It has decent power, really nice refinement both inside and out. It handles better then i thought it would, close to what the SRT6 had as far as handling.

I was searching online and this forum came up in the list... decided to come on and post again
