New to 2gn from Ontario

whats up People!! new guy from Canada here... been browsing this site for some time... finally created a non hotmail account :cussing: and joined up today... look forward to chatting with everyone..

Here are my 2 Neons first off my pride and joy.... my 98 ACR Sedan.. 01 Magnum swapped W/crane 14 camshaft lots of bolt ons and a very nice very custom box style manifold... this car is like driving a go kart on the street and the reason I got into Neons....

And my 2Gen daily driver.... its a stock 2000 5 speed with R/T wheels.... good on gas, lots of room, stock height, dont slow down for speed bumps beater lol

hahahaha trust me u dont want this 2gen man... the wheels and tires you sold me are worth more then the car lol...

yah its debadged all around... and the paint is fine except for the scratch and paint chips from an old bag rear ending me in Bolton on boxing day lol.. but its got over 200K and runs a bit rough

and 100% for the track you goin to Neon day May 4th.. I'll be there.. we shud cruise down if ur coupe is running, how is that comin?

Wow, I just put 2 and 2 together.... I thought you ACR looked very familiar. It's because you gave me great advice over on cardomain a while ago. I took your advice on the de-badging the trunk, but didn't stop there. The doors badges and moldings have also been stripped, bare nakid. :thumbup: I also went with the 17" rims, but went with H&R springs (not installed yet, but soon) instead of Eibach. Anyway it's great having you here now. Lots of great people and a very knowledgeable group here in 2GN.

welcome! love the cars! question.... how much of an improvement was the box style manifold over a stock one? trying to decide if i should make 1 out of my extra manifold or not.... did you make it or someone else?

that box style manifold gave me an impressive gain... it was made by an experienced welder who's done a good handful of these manifolds for neons... its all port matched, nice smooth runners inside... If you can weld give it a shot nothing to loose.. you can pick up stock manifolds cheap and just keep trying till you get it right... :thumbup:

thankss... too bad the 2gn isnt one also... but I dont think they were even sold in canada
