New R/T owner in the Pittsburgh Area

Post by Toast » Thu May 08, 2008 7:37 am

Hello all! About a month ago I purchased a 2003 Neon R/T because more or less I needed a new daily driver, (my 96 New Yorker was beat and the gas mileage wasn't the greatest) I'm more or less here to find out some new things about my car and so on. Now about me I drag race a little from time to time, in the past I've owned a 1974 Plymouth Scamp that I used to race but now I'm running a 1990 Beretta GTZ with the Quad 4 HO. Does fairly well for a N/A motor. Well enough about my GM and back to Mother Mopar! :D Here's some pics: 1 from the dealer I bought it at, and another from this morning:

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm not just saying this cause I'm new to the site, but my R/T is a blast to drive and is probably one of the best purchases I've ever made. This car pegs the "fun meter", sort of like when I was 10 and got my first dirt bike. Tons of fun in the twisties!

If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

Welcome! Is it dropped? Because the wheel gap looks non-existent. Unless R/Ts came like that, maybe they did.

That's the way I bought it, but I'm fairly sure it's lowered. If someone knows for sure the stock R/T wheel gap is more, please chime in.

Neither. Hacked with either a grinder or cut-off wheel.

I'm getting springs, actually getting a set from 2k1MotorSport. Factory R/T ones though.

Passt, you from the Pittsburgh area? The pic in your sig, the tunnel looks like either The Squirrel Hill or Fort Pitt tunnel.

Welcome Toast! I'm new here from Pittsburgh as well. I was thinking the same thing about the tunnel in the sig being familiar. You get a long time to look at them since people can't grasp the concept of simply driving through them wiyjout slowing down like there's no other end to it!
