What's up, everyone? I'm the proud new owner of a 02 sxt. It's an auto, I hope that wont be to much of a problem building up my car. I first had a 03 sentra 1.8 but all they offered was bolt ons. My friend has a 99 neon with an impressive build so I was happy to get my 02. I'm very excited to have found this site. I look forward to all of the informative topics.

What's up, Sac-town. I'm from San Jo. Damn. Is it that bad having an auto? I know manual is alot more fun, but most v-8 are autos and pretty high hp. I'm not looking to dominate the track. Just want to build a fun car to drive.

Auto trannies are ok for drag cars, but unfortunatly the ATX in your Neon isn't going to handle much more HP than stock. Neon's are at home on the roadcourse, or in the canyons, which is why the MTX is favorable. A lot of people talk about building their ATX Neon's for drag use, but I can count on one hand how many have actually done it. Basically, these people are either too lazy to swap in a MTX, or in denial and think their ATX is a blessing in disguise, which it is NOT. Stick with what works and get the most out of your Neon!

your right about me not wanting to build a drag car. I mean, I'll take it once in awhile to see how much my e.t.'s improve. But this is my dd so I dont want to blow my motor. So you honestly believe that a atx cant handle bolt ons and a few internals? Man, that sucks. Do you have a ball park estimate on how much a atx-to-mtx would cost?

Yeah. San Jose, Cali. Da Bay area. Hey guys, I need to ask a silly question. I'm new to this whole forum thing and I dont know how to reply directly to someone's comment. I just hittin "post reply" but it seems to just.....add a comment to the thread instead of answering a specific question. Can someone help a ignorant guy out????
