Hello everyone, new to the forum and the Neon, never had one before. I have an 04' ATX stone white SE that I got from my grandpa, so it has that sentemental (spelling??) value to it....
I have already removed the side molding, changed the major fluids and spark plugs. I also added some new wheel covers til I get some 17/18's for it and added my Sirius radio to the factory system for now. I bought a seat cover kit from EBay for now, they seem ok.
I am wondering about lowering it though, I primarily want it to be level (ditch the ass high look) and was wondering if I can use the SRT4 springs?? They seem to lower the rear more than the front to level them out.... I have read that the SRT4 springs wont actually lower the non-SRT platforms, correct??
Thanks to all here....

Ok thanks for the reply, what do I base that measurement on? example: If I get springs that say 1.5/1.8" for the SRT4 then how much should I expect to get on the base model?

Im pretty set on Eibachs from my previous experiences, I am just concerned with getting rid of this horrible rake it has. Eibach shows that they lower the front and rear the same on the standard Neon, while they "level" the SRT4, hence my questions/concerns with running those springs.... Thanks

Welcome!!
Your car looks awesome!
Go with the Eibach sportline springs. I never had a problem with those and it almost looked like the back was lower than the front.
Can't wait to see more pictures!

I think I want to get the Eibach Pro's for an SRT4, I am mainly wanting to level it, it is my DD and I dont really want it any lower than it is (an 1" or so is ok though)
Thanks for the welcoming

Welcome to 2gn!
Personally, I'd go with the H&R Super Sport springs ($130 shipped). I had the Eibachs on the ACR while driving from Austin (TX) to Milwaukee, and didn't care for them at all. Car kept bottoming out on some of the heavier expansion joints, and the handling left a lot to be desired.

Haha I made you a believer I see! They're H&R Sport Limited Editions from www.optionsauto.com They ride amazing, but the 'rake' will be the same. When you actually level the car the rear looks like it's sagging because the wheel openings are lower in the rear.Maddog wrote:Welcome to 2gn!

As for the drop, Eibach Pro Kit is the same for SRT as Neon, so don't believe the hype. Actually, SRT specific springs would give you more of a drop because the spring perch is a little higher, thus the springs would be shorter to give you more drop. I think the Sportlines give the most 'level' drop, but they may be too low and harsh for you. Progress springs might level the car as well.

welcome... and more info on seat covers??

Thanks for all the input and compliments everyone, I would really love to bag it (my truck is bagged ) but I cant justify spending that kind of money right now. I have only driven Cavaliers with Eibachs and thought they were awesome, didnt know they were harsh in the Neon's, I will look into other options as well.
As far as the seat covers, I will have to get you the info, I ordered a "kit" on EBay. It came with the front/rear covers, 2 seat belt pads and the steering wheel cover, it was $46/shipped. They are not the best quality or fit, but are a temporary solution for me right now, I would like to find some R/T, SRT, Viper seats eventually, but then have the rear seat to deal with......
Edit: Ok here is the link for the seat covers, let me know if it doesnt work and Ill try again...
