New guy..

Well, I wasn't actually looking to get a Neon, I needed something to get decent fuel mileage (My truck is killing me at 12mpg) I saw this listed on Craigslist about a week ago, I skimmed over it as like I said, I wasn't really wanting a Neon.

Anyway, I stumbled across it on Friday again and decided to give the seller a call. Turned out to be a younger girl who owned it. Surprisingly, it was VERY well taken care of. No rust, and extremely clean.

Anyway, here is a few pics.. Interior is spotless, just dirty. I'll have some better photos as soon as I wash her up and clean the interior.. This is exactly how I bought it.

Anyway, looking forward to sticking around.. First thing I'll be doing is a projector headlight retrofit that I took out of the car I replaced with the Neon using Morimoto Mini projectors from theretrofitsource.com. These stock lights I couldn't see crap driving it home.

thats a nicely equipped r/t, nice find indeed. if you have any service records i'd make sure the timing belt was replaced at 100k

BTW call me crazy but it looks like it has either the wrong exhaust on it or its an aftermarket piece.

Yeah, the exhaust is wrong. Previous owner probably didn't want to pay the outrageous price for an OEM muffler, so they went with the autozone special. I will be fixing that in the summer.

I took it and gave it a bath tonight.. Right before the storm lol I wanted to get some new pics before we get a foot of snow and I can't get it out of the driveway.

Only dent, which I will buy a new fender and have it repainted.

VERY dirty interior.. Needs cleanin, bad lol

Oh hell, I didn't notice you were from Batavia

I used to go there with my Dad to an inn/bar that had a killer beer can collection on the walls and ceiling in custom made cases. Can't remember for the life of me what the name of the inn was though. This would have been 30 years ago now.

I already really like it, even though I've only driven it 3-4 times since I got it. Snow kept me from driving it anywhere the past 2 days

After seeing pix of the R/T and the Durango, I'm dieing to see pictures of the Conquest ... almost got divorced when I tried to buy one new from a local dealership ...
still wondering if I might have been better off getting the car

Heres the '88 'Quest.. Nothing pretty right now. She could use paint, but it's 95% rust free and from Alcoa, TN. Unfortunately last summer I lost the oil pump in it so before it did any serious damage I quit driving it. Man, I miss this one! Cokedoctor is actually the guy who helped me find this car.

Here is my '88 Starion ESi-R with the 17" Mustang Cobra R's I was running on the Conquest. Rebuilt the top end of this car because the previous owner was beating on it, ended up driving it for like 5 miles then it started knocking.

So I pulled it back off the road, plan to rebuild the lower end when I get some projects caught up. Plates from this car are now on the Neon.

Lastly, here is my '78 Trans Am.. This is my current project that I will be working on this summer. I've had this car since 2002.

Yeah, I'm responsible for Logikfive's Conquest ownership. I sold him his first Conquest, an 86 TSi...which will someday have a Mopar 360 V8 powering it. His Conquest love grew from there. Hell...I even tried killing him, in one.

I miss that car...R.I.P.
