thought i'd chime in rather than just hiding.
i just bought a 2000 neon for my dad, and as i always do i'll end up doing some mods to any car i own.
its a 2000 neon base model. just AC and auto on it but with just 80,000km (50k)

my DD is a 2007 charger R/T with a custom 426 i built.
my winter car is a 2001 intrepid R/T

there's some good info on here, looking forward to some ideas.

working on it. nothing special just yet, needs paint at this point but i'll get some shots one of these days. come spring it'll be better looking i think.

I should add that it already received its first "tweak". aside from the clarion components and head unit it had when i bought it, i picked up one of those "chromeintakes.com" intakes. not bad for the 25 bucks, but not the best at all either.

it'll have a modified SRT4 exhaust on it by spring i'd bet too. i have the tails, just need to pick a big enough resonator to keep things quiet.

also picked up fog lamps for it, need to make a harness for them, as the body harness has no connectors at all.

Body harness should have the connector for it tucked up in the core support on the passenger side down under the radiator... Grab the harness that plugs in and goes to both fog lights and get a multi function switch with fog option and you're golden. all OEM

im a chrysler tech as well (nearing 10 years) this car has no stubs, for a fog lamp branch harness. my dad and i went up one side and down the other looking for the stub. i have the branch harness, the lamps, and the Multifunction stalk. so im just going to make my own harness for it from pigtails.

crappy cell phone pic for the time being, its dark when i get home.

huh... I've yet to see one that doesn't have the connector :-k it's usually just taped up on the left side.

i could be wrong, but we just about had the fascia off, and couldnt find it. and i know the c109 is supposed to be by the washer bottle...

Connector C109 is the fog lights.

EDIT - I see you said that, I thought you said it was the washer not BY the washer

stance it, :D

lol, yeah, the stance is funny. did the same to my charger. sat WAY too high from the factory. coilovers helped there, got nearly a 3" drop before i grew up a little and set it at an SRT like ride height.
Image vs. Image
just ordered the KYB struts for it, but considered KW coilovers, just couldnt justify it at this point. is there any company selling springs that ride alright and offer a 1" drop or so? it doesnt need to get all that aggressive, and it'll have better wheels in spring (being painted)
mopar advertises theirs as a 1" drop, but if they're like the mopar/eibach's for the LX's they're more 1.5-2.0" at times.

its my dad's car. if it looks cool and run's right, im good and he's good.

since it's an SBEC car, there isnt much that can be done performance wise cheaply. cat back and cold air will be it i think.

well it's better than an NGC car in that respect. I think you can run a 1gn mopar performance computer in it since it's a 2000

i guess. im personally fond of the NGC controller, but as ive read here, most of you arent.

Stay away from the NGC computer... unless air-fuel ratios matter to you and you'd like them to stay perfect. :) People blame NGC for not responding as well to upgrades as the older computers. Of course it wouldn't have anything to do with the 03+ engine having a 9.3:1 CR instead of 9.8:1.

Grr... now you've got me all wound up. Welcome to the boards!

lol, sorry. those of us from the hemi world went through our frustrations with the NGC and have come to learn to deal with it. my charger still runs an NGC4 and has a nice fat AFR at the time running SRT4 stg 1 injectors and proper AFR and VE tuning. ive built mid 10 second cars for customers as daily driver's complete with remote start. anyway, thats another story.

it doesnt matter anyway right now as this car is SBEC so unless i can pick up a modified pcm that works on a 2.0 SOHC ATX without SKIM then it's staying as is.

the car is plated now, fog lamp connectors are ordered, KYB struts arrived, summer wheels are being redone, and a new color is in the works...
geeze i jump into this stuff and its not even my own car. lol.

anyone have a hammerhead rear spoiler they want to sell?...

A little late to the party I am, but welcome regardless :)
