Thank you guys for the warm welcome. One of these times i prolly will my brother in law said there are reguler meets in wi. At this time i do not trust my neons tranny to drive quite that far atm. When i bought the car/ test drove it i met the guy half way and it was wormed up he pretty much dumped the car on me knowing it haf an issue that was unable to be detected while wormed only does it while cold. the issue is nasty bearing rattling noise on start up and idle does this worse when very cold out if u push the clutch in the noise lessers or goes away witch leads me away from throwout bearing beings that it would make the noise pushed in im plenty sure i have a bad input shaft bearing but after u drive it a few mins the noise goes away and u can only hear inbetween shifts faintly. Junk yard trannys around here are 150 for high miles up to 350 for one with 80k

Welcome! Bring it down to my meet, I have shelves full of transmissions and do rebuilds. It won't blow up on your way here, lots of them make that noise, including ones I've drag raced for years before I started building them. I'll be tearing one apart that made the same noise on Saturday for everyone to see what can cause it. The "sounds like marbles are in my trans" noise!
Hell if enough people are game, we can pull yours out, tear it down, fix the noise, and re-install it!
