Hi! Just signed in for the first time. I have a 2001 Neon with 180,000 on it, and my mechanic won't touch it now because of the legendary rusting K-frame cross member. So I'm here to solicit advice over that. Which forum should I throw that into?
Thanks!

Well, yes.
Will I need one that is a 2001-model part, or will parts from other model years also fit?
I've read about people needing to spray the bolts that hold the old one in with penetrating oil over a period of days - is there a recommended brand of oil for that?
Where's a good place to source a replacement part?

people say a homemade 50/50 mix of acetone and ATF is a good rust penetrant
