Any tricks in connecting the master/slave UPDATE pliers

Doing a SRT-4 Motor swap into your Neon, maybe even a 2.4... have questions about it, what you'll need or what issues you'll run into? Answers can be found in here.

I tried to connect the master/slave cylinder "quick-connect" connection but I could not. It was dark and I didn't want to break anything so I put if off until today. Was I suppose to connect master/slave cylinders before putting the slave cylinder in the transmission? BTW what a PITA is to install the slave cylinder. The slave cylinder had two small black plastic straps holding the push rod. Do I remove those before or after installation?

Install the slave the way it is without breaking the straps. Once you get the quick connect connected and press ont he clutch pedal it will break those clips away. Best I can remember, you pretty much just push them together and they'll click together.

Ya push them together. There should be a little white tab, don't try to push that in at the same time, because that's the quick connect mechanism.

Thank you all but I connect the master and slave cylinders yesterday. I used a pair of pliers and it click right away. Finally, the clutch system works! :D :D :D

Now all I need is the new stage 1 PCM and I'm done. :cussing: Flight system for the delay.

you just need to reef on it
If we tune your NOS timer, you'll be runnin 9's.
He has enough NOS to blow himself up
