Hey Everybody
I'm just starting to kinda look into it but I just had a few questions,
First off i've kinda read through the forums but I just wanted to sum up a few things. BTW I own a 2005 SXT

1st- When i do the swap will I have to change out my steering I read the article but I didn't really get it do I have to or is it better to just keep mine?

2nd- Will I have to do the dash harness swap to avoid trouble codes?

3rd- My Neon has 33,000 miles now and runs perfectly always maintained. I'm hoping to do the swap by 40,000 miles. How much do you think that I could ask for the full motor, computer, 5 speed tranny, cv axles, all pumps, sensors, radiator and fan and airbox. If you could give me a starting number just so that I could look into selling it after the swap.

4th- I found a gauge cluster from an srt-4 could I put this in now or do I have to wait till the swap is complete

to be honest with you if your car only has 33,000 on it i wouldnt do the swap yet cause that motor still has alot of life in it. i would find an srt motor and a neon shell in good condition....i did my srt swap i had to pull my old motor at 98,000 because of many diffrent problems...alt, tranny lines the tranny was slipping etc. i mean if u have the money and dont mind the hastle of it being off the road for awile then ya id defenetly do it.

how long is a lil while.. will it stil be a daily driver

I know that it has quite a bit of life left and I like it but I want to do the swap and the downtime shouldn't be a problem. Yeah it'll still be a daily driver but I am also probably going to be running it a a nearby drag strip during the summer. If someone does have some answers to my questions i would greatly appreciate it.
