We Hit Some Snags! *Help Us* (Pic Heavy)

Well, the Neon motor is pulled, and the SRT engine bay harness is in. We had some questions though, with plugs that have no home.
1. This is on the passenger side, by the A/C. One person told me it's the AC low pressure switch, someone else said to plug into a sensor on the expansion block.
2. This goes to power steering?
3. This is for the rear ABS? (If not going ABS, just tape it up and forget about it?)
4. Intake temp. sensor? There's one below the crash bar just like it, I'm assuming that's the ambient temp sensor.
5. The black thing on the right with the plug in it, what is it exactly, and what does it do? Evap?
6. Apparently this was plugged into the previous harness, now there is nothing to plug into it. What do we do, what is it?
7. The blue one on the right connects to the engine harness, and the left one goes where? Is that right?
8. Do the lines coming off the master cylinder need to be replaced? I haven't quite figured out the whole clutch system. ANY insight into the clutch situation would be great
9. Those lines on the firewall are for what? What should I do with them?
10. There's a vac line coming through the fire wall under the dash. Is this supposed to go the the boost gauge, but we don't have the rest of the tube?
11. What plugs into our transmission?
12. Where do these two plugs on the engine harness go?
13. We couldn't find a connector for the coil pack, and found a cut set of wires on the driver side of the harness. It's six wires, so we really don't know what to do. Maybe reuse the Neon connector, but if it's three wires, what about the other three wires that were cut?
14. The SRT tranny looks like this now, and we're wondering how to get the axles connected
These pics are from the 2.0L. Should we have parts like this for the axles to connect? It doesn't make any sense to connect two female sides.
I can't think of anything else right now. Oh, we tried to change the o2 housing, but it was a b*tch to get off. The nut in the back was impossible. Any tips?
We probably won't get this done for a week or two now, but we need these questions answered! Thanks!

show me a picture of the 02 housing if you have it.
what type of tools are you using? hand tools or air tools?

As far as getting the nut off, there are two components that make removing stuck nuts easier.
1) More heat
2) More torque
Either get a longer handle on you wrench so you can get more torque, or soak it with a blow torch for a few seconds and then try again.

sorry i missed you on aim boss. get me wire color codes, pin counts, connector color, etc...
i'll try to match up as many of them as i can...
for the axles, the driver side slides into the transmission like you have pictured, but the passenger side has a half shaft bolted to the block, it is pictured in #14 first pic, but it looks like you removed it for the last pic...
passenger side axle has a female end that slips onto the half shaft.

1. For pass. ABS i believe
2. Power steering sensor on rack, if not then leave it i have two back their hanging
3. ABS stuff just leave that too
4. Intake air Sensor.....goes in cold air intake
5. Evap, purges gasoline vapors into engine
6. Body harness plug should be another plug for it to go into right under the carpet their, it may be different, i know mine was just splice the old connector of the old harness to the srt harness. All the wires are the same color
7. can't tell, i think it may be the batt. temp sensor plug.
8. you can take the upper line off and use the nipple for the vac. line that cames through the srt harness on the firewall.
9.never mind on # 8 it looks like you use the upper line on the brake booster for cruise control. If you are keeping cruise tee off it for the one coming out of the harness if you aren't keeping cruise do as i said in 8 and give me cruise
10. yep, for boost gauge, the other side is what i talked about in # 8
11. plugs into engine harness for reverse lights
12. plug for TPS (white one) and IAC or intake air sensor on cold pipe i can't tell
13. coil connector looks just like the cam position sensor and comes out in the same place on the harness as the Cam sensor, it has a special wrapping around it, it looks like i can see it.
The other 6 wires, do they come off of the end of the injector harness, it looks like. If so they should go over the valve cover next to the timing covers to the up stream 02 sensor and the alternator
14. Axles should push in the trans. The 2.0 ones are taken apart. SRT axles are srt specific and push right into the holes in the trans and the half shaft on the other side.
hope i helped...............

Thanks for the help. We found the coil pack plug, turns out it was just hiding. For that orange body harness plug, can we just reuse the one from the last harness and splice it in if there is no connector for it? Any idea what it does in the first place?
I have now gotten three different answers on that passenger side plug in question one.
As for the steering rack plug, I just checked it out and it seems there is already a plug there. Is it okay to just have to plugs hanging there? That doesn't seem right at all.
Our boost gauge has wiring and a vac hose coming out of it already. Those lines go where?
Turns out that we are missing the ends of the axles that go into the tranny and the half shaft. Don't know the names, or if we can get them individually.
Still no idea what those six cut wires are for. The colors are: green, blue, black, brown, red, and white. They don't seem to go to the injectors, alternator, o2 sensor, or the green plug on the block. At least that's from looking at the color of the wires.
Also, for the Evap, we spliced in a connector from the Neon harness. Hope that is okay.
Thanks!

Can you take a pic of the 6 wire exactly where it comes off the harness , from the pic you have it looks like it T's out about where your injectors are but I don't see that on mine under my hood , & your boost gauge you just have to T into the line in your number 10 pic & the wires should just be a ground & a switched 12 volt .

We pulled it from where the braided line meets the two taped lines with green tape at the bottom. We just pulled it back to see it. The colors are (all solid) green, black, brown, white, red, and blue. If that helps any.

from what i found the brown wire goes to fuel pump relay control as far as the other im unsure.
for further srt info i always use this helpful link...you may have to subscribe to srtforums but this always helped me for the wiring
http://www.srtforums.com/forums/f75/srt ... ls-355520/
its wierd cause on mine theres 3 spliced wires and it goes brown black and red...lmk if u figure this one out

Well, it seems that you have most of the issues answered for you. I don't have a SRT here for me to look at now (I wish I saw this this weekend). I haven't done a SRT swap myself, so I'm not the best person to give you answers, but if you are still hung up on something after the good info Graphite SRT gave you let us know.

Okay, thanks guys. I guess we can just figure all the rest out from looking hard at it and scratching our heads a lot.

As much as it may suck to hear this, that is sometimes the best way to learn
Most of what I know about Neons (and mechanical work in general) was learned by simply jumping in and doing it.
It does help to have a reference point nearby (another car or 2gn members

) to help with the real tough ones.

Yeah definitely, that's how we got the 2.0L out. But I just don't want to screw up the wiring. I guess that's understandable.
Anyway, I think it'll pan out all right. Trial and error, right?

the body harness plug can be spliced with the old connector, do you see where it should plug into right below under the carpet their. All the wire colors should match that's how i knew to change the connector
two connectors down by the evap you can just leave, in did and have no problems
The on by the passenger side by the a/c just leave unplugged also.
Can you get a better pic of the cut wires and where they come from, i can go look at my car if i can compare them.
vac. gauge gets connected to the vac. line that comes through the firewall with the harness.

Thanks Grahpite. I think the cut wires are stage 2 wires.
