if i buy an 03-05 pt engine and swap into my 05 neon the comp isnt going to freak sense both engines or ngc should be just a pull the neon engine and swap in the pt engine sentry key and comp ,right

Erm...are you doing the 2.4 N/A swap? Or the PT GT turbo swap?

If you're doing the 2.4 N/A swap I would just throw the motor in. Although it's not perfect, the SOHC computer will run the 2.4 DOHC computer decently. You would have to figure out how to get the cam sensor to work correctly, I would definately upgrade your clutch. You wont make as much power as a 2.4 swap in a 1gn, but it would be a decent torque monster.

The NGC will still tune it to the a/f ratio it wants, but it can't physically limit the power you make from the motor, or the bolt ons you are putting onto it.

i want to pick up the whole ngc 2.4 n/a out of anything..... now couldn't you just use the 2.4l harness and ecu and be running trouble free? or will the ecu not flash to a neon vin, and if so is there a non ngc computer that does not have the whole anti theft bullshit because i will just swap in a non ngc 2.4

You could probably do the whole PCM swap, and then figure a way to disable the sentry key. Although, I would still run the sohc computer since it has the 6750 rev limiter vs the 6200 on the 2.4.

yea but how would you mod the ecu to run the extra cps

Just run the exhaust cam cps. I don't think a 2.4 or a dohc has an intake and exhaust cps.
