2005 2.0 -> 2002 R/T

I'm trying to sell my engine, and someone called me today about it. He has a 2002 R/T and is wondering if my 2005 non-mag engine would work. Keep in mind he could swap the PCM and both harnesses. If that happened, would anything else be needed, wiring wise?

I believe you would run into the same wiring issues as putting the 2.4 into a 2002.

I was referring to all the wiring differences that you have to address for the 00-02 found in this section (I don't know what they are exactly, just that they are in here for the 2.4 swap).

He would have to change the PCM, Engine harness, Chassis harness, and all of the 05 emissions equipment.

It really is the same amount of work to do this swap as it is to do a SRT (wiring and support-wise)

I vote don't do it, but it's his car. Ask him if I can have his old drivetrain

Yeah, he didn't want to mess with all the wiring, and I don't blame him. Thanks anyway guys.
