This will take several people to help look over everything but here's what I can think up off hand.
Engine and Tranny (duh)
Complete Engine Wiring Harness
Complete Engine Bay Wiring Harness
Power Steering Pump, lines, and cooler
Clutch master and slave cylinder
Clutch/Brake Pedal assembly
Intercooler Piping
Intercooler
Radiator Hoses
Lower Motor Mounts (the hole in the lower mount is larger for larger bolts)
SRT PCM (wont' need the bracket if swapping into an 03+)
Axles (and half shaft if it isn't on the engine)
Coolant Bottle
Fuel Line from tank to engine bay
Fuel Pump
Flex Fuel line from solid fuel line to fuel rail
Short evap hose that comes from the purge valve
All vacuum lines and the 3 selonids
o2 Sensors
Turbo Housing + o2 Housing
Lower Control Arms (they're stronger yet the same in shape)
If you plan on using the front brake setup you'll need the following
SRT Power steering rack (it's shorter)
Knuckles
Flexiable Brake Lines
Calipers
Rotors
Thats all I can think up at the moment.

I think that's about it. I don't know about the fuel line from tank to firewall, I'm running my '02 r/t line and it works, just a little tight. One thing u could do is give me 3000 and a little time to find a car. I'm doing a swap for a guy from dallas next week. Depending on where u are, probably nowhere close, I could do it for u.

Problem I had with the stock line from the R/T is that it didn't clear the coolant bottle since it comes out at an angle towards the bottle where the SRT makes a 90* strait to the front of the car clearing the bottle.

yeh you got it all in there i think. minus the srt radiator. not too sure if it is absolutly needed, but i just remember josh telling me his ran hotter when he kept the regular neon radiator so i went ahead and got one for myself so i wouldnt have any issues. you forgot the intermediate shaft too. not 100% sure on this, but i think the shift linkage is different and you need that as well. hmmm lets see what else might be needed or woudl be good to have.......srt tranny mount...umm i think that is all? i feel like there is more though for some reasonDiablo0 wrote:This will take several people to help look over everything but here's what I can think up off hand.

edit: ahh yes!! now i remember the good ol sentry key system from the srt you are getting the engine from. mine has not had any issues yet form not putting in one, but then again i never even had one to begin with so i just get the code, but it still turns on and stays on. i believe another route is reflashing the srt4 ecu using the DRBIII and put the sentry key code from your neon into the srt4 ecu and it will work. the delaership told me they could do it so i dont see why it wouldnt work. then again i never tried it so i am not sure if it will.....

00 is the hardest since that year it was a cable clutch where 01+ models which includes the SRT is hydro. In 00 you'll have to modify the firewall to fit the clutch master cylinder.raul-01 wrote:Hmm great thread... quick noobie question...Isn't there a difference in putting the entire setup in an 00-01 than an 02-05? I remember evil was saying it was slightly easier in an 00-01 for some reason....
00-02... rumor has it that 03+ the core supports are the same to allow for the intercooler to mount up... not sure if it's true though in 00-02 you must cut the core support and make holes to mount the intercooler. you must also move one pin on the main wiring harness that comes though the firewall that connects to the dash and body harness. That wire is for the front turn signal as they moved it one pin over in 03+ models.
As for the coolant bottle question above... I had to make new holes using two self tapping screws.

Now to bring a thread back to life...
What parts can I get away with not using for a month or so? I am totally out of cash for the next few months with how much I have just spent and I purchased the obvious parts that we know it needs such as a computer...what parts are not required to get it running? is it possible to get it running without the sentry system? Also.....the control arms.....can I get away with not replacing them immediately? Because the control arms that are on my swap car are snapped from the accident...one of the reasons i got the SRT so cheap. Does anyone have any spare parts lying around that they may be willing to donate? I need the IC piping bad....I have no money right now but would certainly be willing and able to pay you tomarrow for a hamburger today...lol.

You'll need pretty much everything thats above but like you asked the control arms since the stock neon arms are the same shape just a tad weaker.
You might be able to get by without the sentry system as long you have somenoe disable it in the PCM so it doesn't look for it. Talk to Canuck_2k about that one since I believe thats what he's done.
As for parts... can't really help you there... I just have a lot of stock Neon parts or random interior parts that wont' do you much good.

hey jason - i re-read the parts list.
i just want to add one thing..
DEFINTELY the SRT rad is a HUGE must have. I forgot to swap the RT rad out w/ the SRT rad and that would had explain why i was overheating all the time bc of the fan and the size of the rad.
SRT4 rad = 2 fans, bigger core, a must have.

Yes the SRT does have a dual fan setup but are we totally sure the radiator has that much bigger of a core? From looking at it in comparison when I was doing the swap trying to find what was the difference I could have sworn they were near identical. I'll update the list though...
If someone can get me some pictures of a stock SRT radiator fan i can compare to an extra neon radiator I have down in the garage.
