I just got one of these for me 2003 dodge neon sx 2.0

Im wondering if i have to make any holes in the adaptor or if it will just fit right on. I havent looked behind the steering wheel yet cause i have no idea how to take it off but im just wondering if i have to do any alterations to the hub. Thanks. I think its a direct fit but i thought id make sure.

** disconnect the battery first!**
Turn the wheel till the front tires are straight.

1 torx screw on each side of the airbag (don't strip it!) then the airbag comes off, un-clip the airbag reel from the airbag, then loosen off the giant bolt holding the steering wheel to the column (i think it's a 19mm).

then grab the wheel at 9 and 3 o'clock and wiggle it side to side till the wheel comes off.

the reel has to come off, plus you might have to shave/file off a little bit of the cast aluminum plate that might rub against your new momo hub. re-connect battery

good luck!, BTW: if you find a way to get the horn to work, let me know.

how do you get to the airbag...do you pull of the front portion of the stock steering wheel where the dodge logo is?

no, there are little button/doors, that hide the torx screws kinda where the cruise control buttons would be. Use a flat head to pry open the little "doors", look in the hole and towards the front of the steering wheel.. they're hiding at an angle.. use a flashlight

Don't short it. Just turn your headlights on and don't play with the airbag for at least 30 seconds.

I never got my horn to work either after I installed my wheel, but then I never really tried since it was almost a rush job, then I had to put it back together once I realized i was sold the wrong hub, but with the right parts, its an easy mod.
