you do realize that there are like 4 bulbs back there....i made an led panel out of 42 leds and it is barely bright enough to see and you think 4 leds will really make em work?

what are you talking about?
I replaced all my stock bulbs with wide-angle LEDs (only 3) and I can see my HVAC perfectly fine.
sometimes you make me wonder.

42 LEDs?? You must have either used some pretty crappy LEDs or wired it wrong. All I did was manually solder a big ass 10mm inverted lens LED, a diode, and a resistor into each light socket and mine lights up plenty.
These bulbs look to be 5mm. I know when I was looking at mine, a 5mm was about the biggest I could fit (I had to solder my 10mm LEDs in with the sockets in place already). I can't tell by the pictures if these are flat-top or inverted lens LEDs, but either way, you shouldn't get too much of a spotlighting effect if they're powerful enough.

I did the same as you and i can see mine fine also...plenty of light.
