Aftermarket seats

I've been toying around with what to do with the interior. Specifically, with the seats. I don't like the "rental car" upholstery they used. SRT seats are nice, but not cheap.

I'm torn between a couple directions. First off are nice quality set covers.

These look kind of generic, but for comparison:

These are nice... simulated leather:

OR... some aftermarket seats?

I want your opinions of these options... especially those of you who've installed aftermarket seats. Don't tell me "get SRT-4 seats, because I've already decided I don't want them.

I'm leaning towards the second set of covers for price reasons, and because this car is never gonna be a racecar. If I want, it's not like I can't buy aftermarket seats later.

just keep checking ebay for srt seats. i looked for a few weeks and they all went for too much $$ but i finally got a pair for $100 and they were like 3 hours from where i live. the r/t seats are also very nice. i wouldn't go with aftermarket, because you will most likely need custom frames/ sliders.

I dunno I don't think those second set look all that bad, but yes I'd rather have a nice race seat, because the stock seats don't hold me in very well on corners.

I love my APC seats. I bolted the universal slider to my hacked off oem seat rails, rendering the oem seats useless now.

took an entire night, but they hug me and were $100

no pics, i have no camera

Can you find them online somewhere? What model were they? 100 bux is pretty good.

Wait and find a decent set for sale. I picked up a set of Corbeau CR1s for like 400 called Corbeau had them send me new bolsters for free and spent another 200 and a new set of covers and redid my blue seats in black

It was in EXTERIOR? I could swear i put it in INTERIOR.... ??? I see it got moved. OoPs :P

To the guy who said seat covera FTL, it's far better than nothin at all at 30-40 bux and quick installation. the ones I went with don't look cheesy at all.

And those speedstash ones are (to me) unattractive and too expensive. To each his/her own I guess.

I brought this up before and pretty much most don't like the idea of seat covers... I was contemplating some covers..even saw those things on ebay...
what scared me off now is... i picked up a steering wheel cover (looks like the one in those above pics)... was a nice red that matched my car... but it has since faded and now doesn't match anymore!... it's that same material that some of the seat covers are made of, and I don't want them fading like that...

EDIT: I did notice they say 'will not fade'... but it only comes with a 30 day guarantee... forgot how long it took mine to fade...

My apc seats were $100 used. they hug around the corners very well. I recommend them if you're on a budget.

I just hacked the sliding rail mounts off my stock seats and they lined right up on the APC universal sliders. Just have to drill two holes in each of your stock seat rails. Then you should probably weld them too, but I didn't (knock on wood)
