Sanding down Interior Panels for Paint - Possibly glassing

I want to sand down the interior panels to get rid of the texture and have them all smooth for paint.
Whats the easiest way to do this?
Scuff the panels up, bondo and sand?
Scuff the panels up, coat with fiberglass resin and sand?
Or don't use any bondo or stuff and just sand the texture off?
Any other easier method?
I've also heard about some heat issues with the sun beaming down on top of the dash when its painted and glossy. Would it get hot enough to bubble? Melt? Leave marks from hands and stuff? Warp?

My friend did this while back. He used the stock cloth and fiberglassed it. Then sanded and painted. He was selling a set awhile back but IDK if he still has them.

Anyways, so what would be the best and easiest way to do my dash like that? At the moment im thinking sand, fiberglass resin, sand, filler primer, sand, primer, etc, etc. Repeat steps as necessary to get smooth finish.

You've done some nice work there. I know that I wanted to do something with the interior, but I don't know... there is a lot of silver (body color) in there.... I can't decide if it is too much or what, but like I said, I think your work is good.

anyone ever try this...just had a thought
those cloth inserts... use bleach to bleach them out white, then use a cloth dye (like RIT) to dye them another color?

Lex, Is that alcontara on the lower half of your door panels? Where'd you get and how much did it cost? I was thinking of redoing the headliner and doors with it....

the material at the bottom of my doors.. is suede..black suede
the headliner/visors/pillars/lower door panels. the entire back seat (is a huge system/fiberglass box.) is also wrapped in black suede, and the seats are leather/suede in black too.. .the lower part of the dash is painted blacked to get them 2 tone theme through out the whole car
