Relocate traction control and defrost
I would like to relocate my traction control and defrost switches. There are currently located in the center console right below my head unit. I would like to put a tray there for my cell phone. My question is to fold:
1. Have any of you relocated these?
2. How would I go about doing so?
TIA
Aaron

well, I can tell you this much, those two controls are really big, and you cant just cut a hole somewhere else and pop em in, so I would suggest have something fabbed up out of metal and move them to either below the dash, or below the center hvac controls... do you have a CD changer in your car? because if not, you have a pocket there for a cell phone, just get some of that super no slip stuff from walmart
oh yeah, thought I would mention, relocating them to somewhere would be the hard part, doing it is easy though, just extend the wires and reroute as necessary. To remove the HVAC controls to get at them is easy too... if you do not know how, use a search, it has been posted several times, but basically it involves removing the center AC vents, two screws, removing the knobs and pulling gently.

Only 2000-2002 Neons with rear disc ABS brakes got traction control. 2003-2005 Neons with rear discs only got ABS. If you have rear drums you have neither.Pablodragon wrote:forgive my ignorance...
a 2001 ES model has traction control?...and a switch to control it?
was it more automatic in the later years?... does my 2004 SE have it?

That is exactly what I want, however I do want defrost.
There is a little divit above the air vents that would be perfect for any cell phone but when you make any turn it flies off of there.
So what product (exact name please) would allow me to put there to keep my cell phone in place?
