Price Gauging
My car's entire from flooring (both front) is in puddles as we speak and this isn't the first time this has happened. I already have my rear lights sealed good and I suspect it is the lining around the car because it looks a little iffy in certain spots around the door frames. My question is how much roughly will new carpeting inside the car (both front and back) and resealing the car will rougly cost me at some kind of shop?
BTW I have a 02 Neon.

my white 02 leaked like that every time it rained...
for me, it came in through the outside vent, down to the bottom of the blower motor housing, and leaked out the bottom onto the carpet...
my buddy's srt acr leaked as well, but his leak was caused by the wire for his XM antenna where an audio shop ran it...

its a manufacturing defect.. or oversight anyways
if you plug up the problem, well.. i dont know how the fresh air circulation works... if you plug it up then maybe there is no circulation anymore
ive read two things:
1) if you park your as such that the passenger side is lower (like a hill) then the water can get down there
and 2) if you close the circulation vent to recirculate then it would stop the water from getting in..
i dont know if it actually helps or not.. i tried that once and then i got some mad smell when i turned on the front window vent.. probably mold from the water getting in but not draining out into the passenger floorboard
if you take off the vent grille below the windshield on the outside, theres like 5 or 6 hex screws to unscrew, you can see on the passenger side where the water is probably coming in.. . mine had an old piece of foam in the hole... way to go Dodge/Plymouth real sufficient... if you plug up that hole maybe it would fix the problem... weld some metal on it or something

I've done this as a rule of thumb with both of my 2gn's since reading about the common problem on here, even tho neither one of them showed evidence of the problem. It's pretty much a natural habit now, i do it without thinking when i turn the car off. when i was helping a friend adjust his WGA the other day, it started to rain/sleet when we were tuning it, and when we got out, i turned his defrost off and turned the knob from fresh to recirc air from the passanger side lol. he asked why, and i informed him of the issue. he had no clue about it.

My '91 Shadow leaked like that when it was new. Turned out to be a poor windshield seal which was covered by the warranty. This Ya Boy wrote:UPDATE: Ok, the water appears to be dripping from underneath the dash... Any one know why this happens??? HELLLLPP!!!!
PS: I'm going to the shop tuesday.
