I was wondering, where should I buy the LED's for my gauge cluster? What kind should I buy? I know I have to get the wide angle LED's, but what type and how many LED'S per bulb should I get? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Go
here.
WLED-x5 LED is the bulb that you should get. It lights up the needles the best. I've tried the inverted cone wide angles and they weren't as good. Johnny Mopar is running these as well. They work great.

+1
the wled-x5 is what i have, they are great.. but tough to install since the barely make it into the openings in the cluster

Thanks a lot, now I know what kind to get. But, what color should I buy, cool white or warm white? Also, do I have to worry about the polarization when installing these?

I'm not sure about the colors, since i have not tried whites, but polarization is an issue at least with mine (i got them from a differnent source). so test the cluster before you install the dash cover again....if one is not working, reverse it ...
Edit: Make sure you don't drop a bulb into the cluster, it is snug fit for the 5 led bulbs, and they tend to come loose from the socket when you try to pull them out... if the they need to be reversed for polarization purposes...if it fall into the cluster , just be patient, and try to maneuver it out...it happened twice to me....
good luck

The film on the cluster will make the whites appear green. If you want the white look follow Danteneon's howto
HERE
They say the bulbs aren't polarized, but they are. They have a diode in them.

Ya those 5-Wled are the way to go, I have blue ones in my cluster after having regular inverted cone leds which didn't light the needles at all. Take you time putting them in the cluster and don't get rammy because they take a little manipulating to get through the holes.

Thanks for the reference
I hope you try this. The only thing I regret is that I didn't have pictures to go with it. If you do it, snap some good pics to put in with the write-up

so this little project would come out to $23. is it me...or is that pretty damn cheap for leds?

personally i think thats a little expensive JUST for leds.. but thats my cheap personality showing through.
i bought a pack of 192 wedge bulbs off ebay for a couple bucks.. some are still working, some burnt out already, but they were cheap..
i dont know what route i will go with my new cluster thats being put in in about 3000 miles (catching up the odometer so its accurate to the PCM) but i wont get the same bulbs as last time... unless i just decide to use what ive got now for a while

And as far as color, go with blue LED's. They will still light the needles red.
Here's my Vamp kit...
The gauges are actually a darker blue than the picture shows...same shade as the odometer.

Yup, blue will do you justice. No matter what color you use your needles will be orange/red. Unless there is not enough light output, then they will be dark.

so is the gas light always on with the leds?

i would assume the warning lights have their own bulbs as those lights are off meanwhile the gauge leds are on.

Yep, the warning lamps are separate. These just replace the illumination. I did change my trac light led to a green one from Chrysler just to be different
