WTF I hate my wife's drivers door window

:cussing: :banghead:

Ok so my wife's car is possesed. Her driver window (Power) will always go down with no problem, but it hardly ever wants to go up. I have to keep wiggling the stupid switch and then eventually it will go up SOMETIMES, other times it will just refuse to go up. I purchased a new window switch today and when it gets here I plan on putting that in to see if maybe the switch is bad. Has anyone else had this problem and solved it? I don't think the motor is bad cause it goes down smooth every single time with no issue, it just is a s.o.b when it's time to put it up. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Im with you... My passenger side window does that too. I just gotta put the window all the way down, hold the switch for a couple seconds n then put it up and it works no prob.

Have all the connections be checked?

definitly check all the connections first, then return the switch if its something simple.

she took it to the dealership last year for the same exact problem, they checked out and supposedly replaced something (I never saw the invoice so I have no clue what they did) and it stopped for a few months but it's been messed up all winter, so now that the weather is starting to warm up I am getting the itch to work on our cars again.

i wonder if its the motor, its easy for it to pull the window down but up it actually has to do some work, it might be this... other than that the only other thing i can think of is the switch itself is bad, or a fuse is bad.. not blown... bad

inside the switches are some little "copper/metall plates/clips". Often they are twisted.

Simple setting up them that they work right and free.

Don't know how to explain. Just open the switch and look if they're looking "wrong"...

Just a quick reminder that the switch panel pops off of the door panel. You don't need to pull the whole panel off to get to the switches.
