gauge cluster internal swap..the mileage part

i recently went to harrys with 2k1 motorsports and i picked up a white faced cluster w/ the tach and i installed it and it was pff by 10k miles is there any way to switch the mileage part of the gauges..if its even possible let me know im going to need help with this one thnx :thumbup:

I don't believe so. The mileage is stored in a chip somewhere on the board. The part you can see is simply a display.

I would think if you knew exactly what circuit board component(s) needed to be changed, and you had a very good soldering station it could be possible. Maybe :roll:
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

The problem lies in the fact that we at the dealership level have no info about the cluster as far as the circuit board goes. It is sold as a complete part with no serviceable components in it.

A radio/cluster repair facility like United Radio may know, but whether they would give that info is questionable.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

u didn't say whetehr it was 10k more or 10k less than yer mileage... if it's more, it kinds sux, less is cool.. but either way I wouldn't worry...
here's my story... I also upgraded to the white faces w/tach... the one I got was about 12k less than my actual mileage... I took it to the Dodge dealer I bought the car from (used), to get an oil change... they keep track of yer mileage and the repairs done... and he took the reading then looked confused..I told him I replaced the gauges and he just said "Oh, Ok, I'll just use the new mileage reading"... and that was it

that's illeagal as hell for the dealership to just "use the new mileage"
