Altering Pedal Setup

My Neon R/T doesn't really have a pedal setup conducive to racing. The throttle is far too recessed behind the brake. Any way to move the throttle toward the driver, or to extend the thickness of the pedal?

I have no problem moving the brake, I just figured the gas would be easier. How do I move the brake back?

The Neon is a great daily driver and while I don't have the money to buy a spec car for the track, I would like to take my Neon to the track to see what it can do.

Cut the brake pedal shaft, and re-weld it shorter.

You didn't read my post closely enough. I can reach the pedals fine. Their positioning relative to each other is the problem.

Is it just me or are 90% of these replies a complete waste of space? Take the flames to the other .org, and if you dont have an answer for a question, please refrain from answering at all.
Regarding the original post: There are a few ways to change the throttle pedal height. The cable is designed with a decent amount of slack in it (almost 1"). By installing a spacer between the end of the cable and the top of the throttle pedal lever, you can effectively gain about 3/4" in height from the floor. For further modification, removal of the throttle spring (at the pedal) and replacement with another smaller spacer will net you another 1/4". The throttle will not only be higher, but much more crisp. The spring takes out the stickiness of the TB spring though, which is something you'll have to get used to once you take all the slack out of the cable. My throttle sits even with my brake pedal, and heel/toe action is much easier than it was stock. The only issue I have is the position of the brake pedal. It is too close to the throttle and too far from the clutch IMO. I would prefer them all to be the same distance apart. Left foot braking in this car is almost impossible due to this, and heel/toe would be much easier for those of us with feet larger than a size 8.

swap it for the SRT4 Pedal Assembly maybe? idk if they are compatible or not but they might be... anyone know?
