Oh really? Well I hope you have someone doing everything for you for free labor, because the materials alone will be at LEAST $1K for what you want to do. Just lettin ya know. Redoing the whole interior will NOT be a cheap task at all.Paralyzer wrote:I can do everything that I want to do for about a grand. And I mean everything.

Do you know how to sew? Cuz you can't wrap the dash in leather without some seams, and obvoiusly you're going to have to sew the seat covers and such. Not tryin to down you or anything, just trying to figure out what you're plan on getting this accomplished is...I'm curious

yes I know how to sew, stitch, and hem. My mom taught me how while growing up since she worked in a clothing factory and then worked in an upholstry shop until she became disabled and can't work any longer. She still can sew at home and has offered to help but this is something that I want to say I did and be proud of. I can understand why you asked because most people don't know how to sew.

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, it helps alot when you know how to do stuff. I would have done the seats on my own, but it was ultimately cheaper (for me, cuz I get a REAL good discount) to have Katzkins make my covers...and they still fucked it up, but I guess the fuck-up doesn't look bad, just disappointed. I may end up doing them over myself sometime down the road, but for now they'll do. I'd love to see a drawing of what your plans are...or aren't you very artistic?

well I have run into an issue on materials. The guy I was gonne get my fabric from passed away today which was a good friend of mine and was helping me cut cost down on my interior project. Soooo, with that said I have come up with another idea to kinda go with what I have already and just build up from that. I have included an image of an interior that I have been looking at for some time and moved away from it for the original plans. So you guys tell me what I should do. Keep with the idea and take longer due to cost for the original idea, or keep what I have and build on to it to kinda look like the attached image?

Sorry about the loss of your friend. That last pic you posted looks sweet. Go for it. I noticed on of the things you wanted to do was get the center console bezel in brushed aluminum. Why not just get one from an SRT-4. They are silver. Not that generic looking wannabe carbon fiber crap either.

Eh, whatever. It looks like suede. Even the wiki article says it looks and feels like it.LilSparkPlug wrote:Lamborghinis have Alcantara...a much HIGHER grade material than your average $20 a yard upholstery suede. ya, the rear center consloe thing is kind of like being in a limo for the people in the rear, having control of stuff....like if it had buttons, for heat, etc....or a tv!
did your friend who passed away know anything about your plans to change your interior? if so, you could do this bit by bit as a tribute to him...
Do a lot of planning before you do anything. Even if something sounds ludicrous and would take quite a bit of fabrication ask yourself what YOU want it to look like.
In my mind i see you putting up privacy glass between the front and back seats, and tv's in the headrests!

I really like this idea. I am a big luxury car person. Look into VIP styled cars, the interiors are rediculous. Suede, Leather, Pillows, Swarovski crystals. I thought of doing it to mine. Check out www.garsonshop.com. Beware of the prices!

Sorry to hear about your friend...that's a huge drag bro
As for your interior, just because the prices are going to go up for material, doesn't mean you should change your plans...if you still want to do what you've wanted to do before the passing of your friend, I'd still do it...but in moderation so you can afford stuff as you go along. Things turn out better that way in the end because you have more time and effort and love going into it. I say stick with the original plan

Yeah now that you mention that, it would be kind of neat. But remember you'll have to upgrade the engine to compensate for the increase in weight.moparman00 wrote:ya, thats something else i thought of after my post about like heat controls and such in the back...excon wrote:did your friend who passed away know anything about your plans to change your interior? if so, you could do this bit by bit as a tribute to him...
