Ok so my wheel is making this very annoying semi loud creeking/rubbing noise.

It kinda sounds like when ur slide on leather when its hot out that kinda irratating screech. ANyone know why the hell its doing that?

Are you sure it's the wheel? Did you jack the car up and spin the wheel? Also, I have no idea what sliding on hot leather sounds like. Am I supposed to be naked?

yes im sure its the steering wheel.although i could jack the car but it sounds like its coming from right where the steering wheel can pivot

You may want to send Fuzzyneon a PM. I was working with him on a TSB about a click/squeak in his column.

The rack was recently replaced.... check the bubber boot where the column goes through the floor. It might be rubbing on that.

Try removing the upper and lower trim pieces (like getting to the MFS)from the column. Maybe it's rubbing on them somehow. Or while you have it apart spray some lube in there. My Jeep makes a noise when it gets cold, but it is a little different than that.
