Post by onewickedkid05 » Tue Dec 23, 2008 4:08 pm

so i figured out that i can dremmel through the plastic piece that runs to my vents to put leds in it if i pull the fuse panels off, my question is how do i wire up 2 leds to the vents closest to the HVAC i dont see a way of getting a dremmel in there at all? Also, should these have a resistor/what if they dont.

none of my led strips have resistors so i dont see why my 5mm leds should eithr

I put two LEDs in there as well. I removed the duct out of the car and put them in.

I put a incandescent 194 bulb in mine. I wasn't sure if the heat would be bad for the LED or not, plus, I knew the incandescent bulb would distribute the light nicely.

And on top of everything else, the bulb heats the air up until the car gets warmed up. It's instantaneous heat!

I have thought about doing a retro-how-to on some of the things I've done to the car before I joined this site. It would mean going back through and removing a lot of the work I have in place though. I'll see what I can come up with once I tackle the double din radio install :D
