Ahh ok. Didn't realize that. I just read that thread and saw that. I just assumed since he re-wrapped his in new material...
oh well. it was worth a shot.

IIRC, he tried to wrap his in new material, and could never get it right so he never finished the project.

My leather wheel has 162k and 10 years of use, and it became all wrinkly.

Finding leather to work isn't the issue, it's actually making it work as I recall from talking with Brodie. The leather has to be cut somehow to make it work with the contours of the wheel so it won't bunch up and whatnot.

Yeah that was Brodie's issue, it bunched up and didn't go around the corners well once it got to the three "spokes" if you will. He had it perfect until that point, got frustrated and stopped.

A
Wheelskins cover is probably the next best thing -- and a helluva lot cheaper.

I looked into this. There's a company down in Tay-haws that rewraps them in whatever color you want. They also do wood. I believe it's $250 for a rewrap. They've a website somewheres, but I don't remember the link. Here I thought $250 was bad, and they said to find a junkyard or see what the dealer prices are to get a stock one for cheaper. Since I want a custom look, I'll send it off to them for a couple weeks and get a fancy wood/leather one.
EDIT: I believe it is these peoples:
