Alright, I don't know what it's called, but it's that piece that goes around the bottom of the shifter on an automatic tranny. I found an 03-05 SXT with carbon fiber look one. Got the HVAC bezel out just fine, but the one around the shifter won't budge. Please help!
Thanks!
P.S. What IS it called?

It's called the shifter bezel for one, and I can't remember exactly what it takes to get it out...
You definitely need to remove your center console, which has screws in the cup holders and the bottom of the storage compartment. Pull the parking brake as far up as possible and pull up and back on the console to remove it.
You also need to remove one screw to remove the shift knob, it is located in the front of the knob and is some sort of torx bit if I remember correctly. Other than that, I think there are four screws at the base of the bezel, and you pop the bulb out, and it should be out. Hope that answers your question.

Alright, thanks! If I need to do all that to take the bezel out of the SXT, I'll do it and put it in my SE. If I have to put in a whole new center console, then I won't bother with it...

You don't have to change the whole console, you just have to remove the center console to get it out. The bezel is actually more than just the oval shape, there is more underneath that can't be pulled through, which is where the other screws are. The console is just the whole plastic divider between the driver and passenger seats, which is the same in all 2gn neons

Okay, thanks! I'll just have to look out for the broken glass in the donor car...

remove the console, unbolt the shifter bezel, unscrew the Torx set screw on the front of the knob and take the assembly out. At least I assume this is how it would be done...
